Carl Spredemann

Carl was born in Brazil and moved to the USA with his family over 45 years ago. His first airplane ride was a Boeing 737 from Brazil to the States — and aviation stuck. He earned his Private certificate in 1993 and his A&P two years later.

He started turning wrenches at West Air, then Mesa. In 1998 he went to work for SkyWest, where he spent 23 years performing C-checks, then 13 years in the engine shop, three and a half years in the sheet metal shop, and the remainder of his time performing line maintenance — over 31 years of airplane maintenance experience combined. He holds his A&P with Inspection Authorization (IA). Along the way he added his instrument, commercial and multi-engine ratings and became a CFI.

In 2019 he moved his family to Caldwell, earned his CFII, and instructed while building hours for the airlines. When COVID shut down his training class, he finished the airplane he'd never had time to finish — and Good Times Aviation was born.

Carl has flown over 176 different aircraft — and counting — from a BT-13, Beech 18 and T-6 to the C-310 and CRJ-200. Favorite airplane of all time: the SR-71 Blackbird. Married 25+ years to Melissa and dad of five.

Elizabeth Jantzi

My love for flying was sparked at a very young age, watching airplanes out the windows of the Portland, Oregon airport as I waited for my Grandma to arrive. That spark was later fully ignited in the back seat of a Cessna 172.

I started flight training in the spring of 2022, after saving up money working on my family farm. My goal was to earn my private pilot certificate. By the time I achieved that goal six months later, I knew I wanted to be a CFI and have the pleasure of helping others achieve their dreams of flight.

I have been working as a CFI since 2024. In that time I have continued to add to my flying experiences, with Tailwheel, High Performance and Complex endorsements. I have even logged some hot air balloon time, and a handful of hours flying in Alaska, which included a few flights in a float plane.

My passion for flight continues to grow with each flight, as does my love of helping aspiring aviators achieve their dreams.
